“I hired Cassie in January, 2022, initially for my vegan partner. Because she has a stressful job and works long hours, I wanted to prepare meals for her so she wouldn’t have to be concerned with cooking and feeding herself after a day of work. We’d both gotten bad about fixing nurturing food for ourselves. My experience with vegan cooking was limited, and I was still happily eating meat and dairy and lots of processed foods.
I didn’t intend to change my own diet, but the food Cassie offered and taught me to prepare was so good, it was easy to make this major change to plant-based whole food meals. It’s (almost!) all I’ve eaten for the last two months. I feel so much better, I’ve lost about 20 pounds, and I just don’t get hungry between meals; and I used to snack a lot.
Oh, and my partner? The one I did this for? She loves the meals, too, and loves that I’m getting healthier. And we can enjoy eating the same food together.
